Hi guys! I recently bought a couple front sti tech 4 front tires and come to find out they screwed up in someway. They look like they run out of shape, almost oval shape when i had the tire shop put them on their balance machine and i can even see the it when i spin them by hand on the hubs. So, I was wondering what tires you guys recommend and where you recommend getting them. Thanks.

I love razr 2s. However, gbc also makes a near identical tire for less. I believe it's now called xc master? They are on the yfz and are holding up very well.

Yes, i agree, Maxxis makes a good tire, I have Razr's on one of mine right now, however I think ITP makes a better, cheaper and lighter tire, overall. Most tires are ITP copies!! I run Holeshots HD's on my BB558 and I like them a little better, they seem to be wearing a little better also. I have a set of ITP Mudlites on one of my Suzuki's and really like them also. I have some GBC Dirt Devil2's on my Yammy Big Bear that are "bulletproof" but weigh a ton! I have alot of lava rock around here and I dont buy anything other than a 6ply tire. The ITPs are 6ply also, but weigh much less. I also had a set of Goodyear radials that I REALLY liked, they will be the "truest" round tire, most ATV tires are bias ply, they also run very low air pressures. I think those STI's will get better with a little summer heat and some riding. The way they pack and store the tires makes them get badly deformed. Sand tires are the worst! only 2ply and a real bitch the first time you mount them!! THE PIMPS BB PREDDY.jpg  Bubbas Preddy.jpg

Thanks for the replies. Can the tires get better over time? I know when they came they were packed thinner than about half of one tire lol.

Thanx, I have over $3000 worth of wheels and tires for these 2 Preddys alone!! I frequently ride sand/dirt so I have full sets of 8 for each and I felt brutally raped after each purchase!! I spend that kind of money for my GMC 4x4 wheels and tires, but they are 3 times bigger and radial! I also get at least 30,000 miles out of a set !! I cant say for sure if they will come back to round, mine all have, but I have expensive tires!! Try over-inflating them a bit at first and ride like that for awhile, it may help. I run my dirt/fronts at 6 psi to protect my rims due to big rocks. Dont those STI's look like my Holeshot HD's? I think they are just cheaper versions of mine. I also run a 22x8x10 front on both of mine, a little taller and wider, once again, to protect my wheels from rocks!!Keep us updated on those tires, im curious about STI.

I just purchased the tusks from rocky mountain. 59 a piece for the rear and 39 a piece for the fronts. I like them so much that I'm going to buy some for the wifes warrior.

Im always up for a good deal! Let us know what you think after you have worn a set out. Im shopping for new sand tires right now, and am looking for any advice. Im thinking of getting some Douglas Doonz, they make a great wheel, anybody tried any of their new tires? My AMS paddles are coming apart and I blew a trailer tire and burnt a hole in one paddle when the rear of my quad bounced off of trailer during a high speed pass through the pot-hole/washboard gauntlet that takes you to my local dunes!!! Shredded the trailer tire and burnt completely thru the paddle tire. I didnt even notice, til I hit pavement!! So I will get a complete new set, and have a good rear spare for my daughters, and sell the fronts to my buddy for his Outlaw.
