I have a problem with the seat that it isn't locked in place. One peg is gone from the seat. I can't get it to lock how hard I push it. Any suggestions? It is a outlaw 500 2006 there's a gap between the seat in back and the locking hook isn't locking. It's just like the seat don't fit

Make sure it's under the tabs near the back of the tank. Also pull the release lever when pushing down.

On mine I have to lift the release lever a little for it to pop into place.
I had hear stories that they can pop off while riding, but mine has never done so, but then again, ive got an IMS tank and the seat fits in the tab pretty tight on it.
