So I'm replacing the giant carrier bearings in my IRS 540...I've got the sprocket side of the carrier split off...but getting the brake rotor side to press out of the carrier assembly is not working. I bout a 12 ton press and can't figure out a way to situate it to press out.

Any ideas or tips?
Thanks y'all

They can be rusted together pretty good, but I was still able to do it with a cheap Harbor Freight press.  In fact, I bought the press for $40.00 off a guy on Craigslist just for that job and have used it for 100 other things that I used to use a hammer and old socket for.  lol   I wonder now how I lived without one.

I think there may even be a thread here on our site somewhere showing how to do it.
