rick was in line for possible overall today, but belt broke on him 3rd lap of 4. he was running 3rd  o/a and turning in some fast laps

Sounds like the bike may need some beefing up to handle the abuse of hard racing. Kind of like any other bike. Sounds like Polaris has a fast rider on their machine, does anyone think they will acknowledge that?

they should strubby, I think a lot of people see what he is doing in a field that is dominated by can-am and he is doing this on his own. rick said that the belt problem was his fault, wrong belt.

Polaris only recognizes the riders on their sleds, and then
only the one's they say they put in the seat. I can start
listing all the good riders that Polaris turned their backs
on that raced their bikes, and won with them, including
Championships. One stands out more then others, when
Todd Ribblett took a few GNCC Utility Unlimited National
Titles on a FST600 motored Scrambler.....

My hats off though to anyone that will open their wallets
and go it alone, especially against a stacked deck, from
a sponser that had rules written to help it out.

With that being said, I got to get back to the work bench
and finish up a sway bar for buddy "x"'s hybrid build......

Just can't get enthused with this new bike. Sorry fella's

That's just too bad. The big bore utility scene is huge and you think they're get their marketing where it should be and get some spotlight on their podium machine by endorsements and sponsorships. Oh well, kudos to Rick for deciding to run the machine anyways.

they think their $ r better spent in nascar, which does nothing to make the product better. but having said that id rather race my outlaw than run what everyone else does

Everything that has broken thus far has been upgraded and in the past.  The A-arms were aftermarket and made of .080 wall tubing which now they are .120 wall tubing,  The swaybar mount is not gussetted and the belt issue was my own fault for having too many miles on it - 270 miles before the race.  What happened was I ordered a spare belt since I change them every 2 races and the one I ordered was the wrong part number and too long - it was for a Razr.  So my only option was to run the only other belt I had with 270 miles on it...

Hey Rick. If you ever run into sway bar problems, look
me up. I'm supprised the bar mount let go before the
sway bar itself. And if your still on the stock links, keep
an eye on them. The ones on the Sportsmans never did
like to take a good beating and will bend.

No swaybar issues however I am all ears if you have a suggestion to make it stronger / work better. Please explain

The bars on the XP's are super beefy. The 09 design is a bit stronger though.

Hey Rick, where can I get some of the rear A-Arm supports that you make?   Also, do you have any other suggestions to the guys who ride their Scramblers hard?  NOT GNCC hard, but still like to push them?
