Hey guys thought I'd put up acouple pics of my 2013 850 scrambler. I have had it for around 3 months now and I must say it is the BEST atv I have ever owned! It has yet to be out done when I go out and ride with my buddies. If you have one tell me what you think about it. Any good performance mods yet?

Nice ride!  As for a pipe, the thing you gain the most of is noise.  Not a whole lot out there for easy HP.

I'm gonna get a pipe one day. But I gotta say I pulled the sparky out of the stock pipe and it sounds pretty tough!

very cool machine. i would say the biggest gains on these machines are in the clutching department. i know nothing about the newer 850 machines except that any and all cvt auto trans can improve a huge amount just with a good clutch setup. maybe ritter cycle racing, high performance design, dalton, or epi would have a setup to help with performance.

The Can-am guys talk like the Polaris clutching is superior to the Can-am clutching, so I'm thinking the gains there are gonna be small.

Hope you enjoy it, I love my 1,000!

My quads sitting with Old gas in it.  Line em' up and we will let the results do the smack-talking!  My 1,000's laying down almost as many WHP as the Scrammy is making crank HP!

Your wallet will soon be empty when your wife buys that house! Makes me feel good that I invested the money into my toy instead of the fricken house. .

Leo, I'm swamped at work. Got 8 weeks of normal work in 2.5 weeks and my dad had knee surgery so he's not here helping and my helper guy is fishing in Canada. I'm doing everything myself n raising my son on free time that doesn't seem to exist. Oh well, it pays the bills! .

Both 1000s I ran had me by a fourwheeler link on take off I'm guessing that's that awesome torque they have but by the finish line we was neck and neck. And it was the same on the second 1000 I ran. And for ppl that think these and the 850ho sportsmen run alike are wrong. I have ran prob 4 or 5 850Ho and took them by 3 or 4 4wheeler links. Not really sure why cuz I mean all these have different is the pipe and suspension and just alittle less weight

How are you getting 80 Mph out of a stockish 525?  My 1,000 runs 79 Mph on GPS on loose sandy trails.

I ran my 525 IRS that dyno'd 50 WHP, and my buddys 525XC that Dyno'd 52 WHP against Police Radar on a 2 mile long gravel road and I managed 69 Mph and the XC could only pull 68 Mph.  Both on 15T sprockets, and mine was jetted a little better than his XC was.

I'm not bashing the 525, but it baffles me to think a 525 will run 80 MPH on DIRT!  I never tried my 1,000 on pavement, because Its simply faster than my courage will allow me to go on the road.

Again, I'm not saying my Obese pig is the fastest thing on the planet, but I've just never seen any 525's run at these speeds.  Maybe you have a 690 in 525 skin!

The guys are close to cracking the timing retardation on the 1,000's. Stock, the computer retards timing from 0MPH to 20 MPH, so you don't flip it over, and then from 50 mph on up it retards it again.  They are retarding so much that they are cutting 12 WHP when retarding.  Once this is removed, this things gonna be a handful!

Yea my 850. That's weird about ur outlaw cuz my brother ran a 12.00 flat through a thousand feet paved drag track at 71mph. He does only weigh 185 pounds to. Myself I have only had my scrammy to 79 but my buddy witch weighs 135 pounds had it flickering 81. And I'm not bashing the 1000 those things are animal's to.

I understand the new 850's run good and are much stronger than the first ones.  The Can-am guys say the 850 beats the 800 can am most of the time.

I thought you were talking about a 525, sorry I read your signature and never looked up......

I'd love to race some big bores, but man I'm always working on Saturdays and thats when all the hardcore riders are out.  fml

What tires were all the 850 guys running that you were racing?  If they were different, throw the results out the window.

Nope, Full Muzzy and Tuner.  Vforce john showed 10-11 WHP gain on dyno with this combination!  71+ WHP on dyno!

yes, like nick said, anyone without stock tires is a slow turd.........The other tires are stupid heavy!

Hey, I've got an idea, we can all (I mean ALL) just meet somewhere one weekend and find out who has the fastest, baddest ride around. Would that be a blast or what?

Jeffy, sweet ride man!

Dead, exhaust on the Rotax makes 10whp? I wonder if that holds true for the Maverick as well. The Prostar does not respond to bolts ons that well. Can Am is no joke and Polaris' only competition.

For tires that bite hard and are lighter than the competition, I'm loving my GBC Dirt Commanders. They are great for sport riding. The RZR is faster and handles better with them on. I don't think the RZR would have held it's own in the Maverick races if I had the original ITP Bajacross on.

Maverick might gain a lot more because it comes with cat converters on it stock. Muzzy makes a full exhaust for them now. Im not sure anyone dyno'd them in the real world yet.

Maverick heads on a Renegade motor are the next big thing. Good for about 10 HP more. I'm not doing that until I get the timing retardation removed and see how it really pulls!

My 850 and both 1000s have stock tires. When we raced all three of our bikes maybe had 25 hours on them. They are both buddies of mine we went and bought our bikes around the same time. They both got 1k can ams amd I got the 850 scrammy. Not sure what tires the 1k came stock with but my scrambler came with Carlisle or how ever you spell it. And deadman the reason I ask about pipe is cuz those things sound AMAZING with about any slip on.

Raptor?? Lol you know what's funny is everyone kept telling me the 700r would out run me don't even try and it seemed like everyone thought that. But two weeks ago at hwy89 raceway (witch is in arkansas) I ran into a brand new 2013 700r well long story short through a 1000 feet I had him by atleast a 4wheeler link. Now I tell ppl this that I hang aroumd a lot and they call me a lier.....why is this so hard to believe???

Sound Amazing?  You be the judge!
The camera was sitting on an empty steel 5 gallon pail, so it makes the sound seem super loud and rattly like the pail was resonating!  lol

Jeffy I was jokin about the raptor. As well as a quarter mile. It just seems the spaniards around my way think u race quarter miles on quads and raptors are by far the best Atv u can buy.
My buddy had a 660 with exhaust, k&n and jetting and couldn't beat my bone stock IRS. Even with 2 lengths head start. He's also a better rider than I am.

Dead that thing is loud as hell. I have a headache after watching that. Sounds awesome!

Thats the funny thing, its only half that loud in person.  That pail makes it sound like its making my ears bleed, but its only about half as loud as a 525 with a HMF Competition pipe wide open.     Sure sounds stupid loud in the video tho.

Thats with both quiet cores removed, so I can throw the quiet cores in it and cut the noise level way down.  Or I can just throw 1 quiet core in and tone it down a little.  It sounds soooo mean in real life, my buddys say it sounds like a street bike on roids! lol

The stock muffler was literally a muffler off of a Honda Civic, it was HUGE and then the outlet pipe was so tiny it could hardly breathe.  I'm surprised how much seat of the pants power it gained!  It really makes the bunghole pucker when you crack the throttle on sod or something where there is no tire spin.  I can't wait for the new programmer to unleash this pig to its full potential!
