im 38.  i remember harley dealers selling white atc 2 strokes.  rotax engines.  quad racers, 4trax 250rs, tecate atc than atv were the norm.  but the rare dude with serious coin got one of these rare rotax machines.  was that the begining of polaris.

I'm from a time when my AtV was fueled by a bale of
hay and a bucket of sweet feed oats.....LOL

Did'nt have to worry about a Polaris dealer, just a ferrier
and a vet......LOL

Still needed a truck and trailer, so that much has'nt changed.

at least you don't have to feed your quad when you don't ride it!

Yeah, but a good ol' Quarter Horse is going to last
you a good 30 years, and you never have to pay
for plates or atv insurance, and you dont have to
worry about it starting in cold weather, not unless
it's getting a bit barn sour.....LOL

One toy I did have prior to any atc/atv coming on
the scene was a Rupp mini-bike with a Clinton 2.5
H.P. motor. Cost you a nickel to fill the gas tank !!!

My son has an original 123cc Tri-Moto stored in near
new condition. My 3 year old grandson will probably
get some use out of it when he's a bit older.

I like this quote...
" The TIGER 500 is without a doubt the most violent , hardest hitting, untamed creature we've ever come across. This hostile animal sweats raw horsepower and fires out a barrage of arm-ripping adrenaline. Its scary!"
And this one too...
"But with Mongo ponies on tap, a simple yank on the throttle can shift you from controlled to PANIC , in seconds.

Hence the reason they were outlawed...My buddy has a few 3 wheelers now and they are fun to ride.

No hating on 3-wheelers.  I have a bunch more 3-wheelers than in my signature as well.  1984 and 1985 ATC250R, 85 350X, 85 Tecate and even more.  I like riding them more than 4-wheeler actually.  And they are only dangerous if you don't know what you are doing.
Theres a guy on 3wheeler world who turned a Predator into a 3-wheeler!  In my opinion its not the best looking thing but cool none the less.
