ok guys i know every machine is different and i fully understand that but i am wondering what size jet, what notch, and what needle you may be running. i understand the jd kit is best bang for the buck and those sizes are different in relation to OEM jetting.

so what do you have?

JD jetting uses standard OEM jets, its just the needles that are proprietary. I run the JD jet kit and I have it set up using the standard low altitude needle (blue), jets, and adjustments. Runs great, and it solved the performance issues I was having with the OEM carb setup.

I'd just be guessing here, but I'd bet if you just drop the needle one notch you'd be pretty close (assuming your motor/filter/exhaust is all stock).
