I went to the badlands yesterday and when I left the garage the quad started fine (08 outlaw 450). After trailering and snow/slush building up on the front it took a real long time to start (almost drained battery). It seemed to run fine for a couple hours till I went through a puddle splashing front by coil. The quad just coasted to a stop. I pulled the plug wire and checked for spark (nothing). Quad never started till drying out in the garage. It fired right up this morning no problem. I'm pretty sure its the coil, is this common?

I bet the coil is alright it could be the connections to the coil or any other connection up front. Coil cdi or my guess the open circuit up there for a tether kill switch. Could also be the fuses harness any wires up there that got wet and maybe frozen up making a short or connecting the kill switch or tether or even shorting out the Coil. I would clean and grease all the wiring under the front hood and run it and spray the front end see if you can duplicate it after the connection cleaning and greasing. I bet it goes away. If not you will have eliminated all kinds of possibilities. Then start testing electronics.

Thanks! Ill check some of the plug connections. The ground connection and positive spade connection looked good. I thought it would be strange for the module to go bad.
