The HP wars continue!  925cc with 144 ponies!  Sure smacked Can-Am in the face with that one.  For those of you that don't know, Can-Am relased their turbo Maverick last year with 121hp.  They upped it to 131 this year....must have known Polaris was up to something big.

Quite a step on Polaris' side going from 110hp to 144.  We'll see how she runs.  Getting close to snowmobile territory now boys!

they are getting close to enough power for a 1000+ pound machine now they just need to price them less than a nice truck.

Price point is still way to high! Its the only thing that has kept me from considering. Plus all the non standard options being buy ups.

Nice pictures!  The Ace 900 has my interest too.  With a tune and a few tweaks, it's roughly a 90hp capable engine.  The RZR 1000S is also going to be a hit.

The Sportsman/Scrambler line didn't see much.  Just High Lifter Edition Sportsmans and the 450 Sportsman.

This will only help us Can-am fools achieve more HP quicker now that they need to spool up their Turbo a little more to make 150 HP.  We all know who will bump the HP next year!
Either way, this Razr looks bada$$.  I'm just hoping all the manufacturers can make them handle all this HP.   By the sounds of it, they break all the time if you beat on them.

Polaris says they've beefed up the entire drivetrain for the RZR turbo, from prop shaft to, CV's, to axles.  They've also changed both clutches, belt, improved belt cooling, and removed the reverse chain - replacing it with gears.  Motor is completely redesigned, with forged pistons, new rods, new oil sump with more capacity, and much bigger bearings, which necessitated the drop in displacement from 999cc to 925cc.  They'd tested the stock 999cc bearings - which were already nearly maxed out - and found that they simply will not survive under a turbo (also an fyi for the bolt-on turbo guys).

The turbo puts out 8-10 psi of boost and automatically adjusts boost pressure for altitude, ensuring no power loss for elevations well over 10,000 ft.  The intake air is also cooled by a liquid to air intercooler that has it's own separate radiator that shares a purge tank with the main radiator.

Shocks are updated versions of the Fox Internal Bypass shocks similar to the RZR Fox Edition, but plusher and less harsh.

Front bodywork has been redesigned to create additional air flow through the radiators to help cooling.

Prop shaft has been redesigned to a bolt on arrangement for easier removal and servicing.

I'm sure there will be the usual teething pains that happen with new models.

You can also rest assured that Can-Am already has more boost in the works for the Maverick Turbo.  Since we carry both brands, it's a win-win.  I just feel sorry for Arctic Cat...
