I have a 2008 525s Outlaw. I am a duner and spend alot of time with gearing to my weight and horsepower and roll out of the paddles I run. Yada, Yada, yada, but what Im getting at is to get the gear ratio I want I either have to run a 13/41 or a 14/44. My Problem is with the 44t I cant run a skid plate. Now on my 2006 Predator a 13t Counter would eat chainsliders like candy. Do the Outlaws have the same issue. I would love to run a 13/41 but dont want to have to replace sliders that often. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don't see why with the 525 you need such low gearing. On our S we run 14 39 with 22/11/10 10 paddle haulers and carries me up any dune from Oregon's dune to St. Anthony's ( I'm 245 with gear on ) .  I have run a 40 on the back and didn't have a rubbing problem ( we run PBI sprockets ) I have had the 13 on the front and didn't see any rubbing on the swing arm slider.

Its not that it wont carry me up the dunes... its actually flies.... I can just get more out of it if I gear down a little further.

If you go to a 13t, I'd advise a TM Designworks
chain slider.
