Hey everyone I’m new here I just got a 06 Polaris outlaw 500 it would start right up and then I changed the spark plug and rode it for about 20 mins then it died And will not start back up now and it’s back firing Some times really loud I ordered a new carburetor Should be here today just wanted to get someone else’s opinion on what it could be because I don’t really know that much about four Wheelers can anyone plz help me out

Jumped timing, broke the flywheel keyway, bad fuel, breakers in the black bags,

Tryed all that everything looks fine if this carburetor don’t work I’m just going to Order a new motor

Sorry saw 500 thought predator... Breakers under the front plastic... Are you getting spark....sorry if you already said...I'm on my phone...

I’m getting spark and I just put the new carburetor On and it still won’t start

I found the problem the intake camshaft Snapped do you have any ideas of why it would’ve snapped

i have never seen one snap. i dont know how that could happen. do you mean spun? post a pic of the cam and the head

That's strange. Maybe a bent valve or bucket caused a bind

Idk maybe I don’t really know what I’m doing I just been watching YouTube about it I’m going to take it apart more today and see if the valve is still good

Everything looks good it was just the camshaft I’m ab to order it now will let you know if it starts up when I get it put back together thx for everyone who Responded I appreciate it
