What would make the gas spit back into the airbox ? Quad started fine let it warm up and went to pull out and the thing just stalled . It will crank over but no start . Took the air box off and gas is spitting into the air box. Pulled the carb off cleaned it really good ,jets were pretty clogged so I assumed that was the problem. Reinstalled the carb and it's doing the same thing. If I hold my hand over the back of the carb it will attempt to start so I'm stumped. Valves were recently done so I don't think it's a tight intake valves, not sure where to go from here. Anybody have any ideas ?

Looks like I'll be tearing it apart tomorrow morning to check the timing. So when I get it at TDC  will there be timing marks on the cams so I know if they are in the correct position? If it did jump Time will that almost definitely mean the valve hit the piston ?
